I had the pleasure of teaching third grade with Colleen for a year at Roberts. In that short time, Colleen & I bonded; sharing stories of our children and our husbands (both named Bruce). It was evident that she loved her family passionately. She was so easy to talk to, and always so positive, caring, and compassionate. She always asked about my boys. We stayed in touch through Facebook, and her journey inspired me. I often thought “When the going gets tough the tough get going.” Colleen was beyond tough; she was a warrior. She will forever remain in my heart. Her family remains in my thoughts and prayers. Rest easy, my friend. I promise to make those memories.

I was privileged to meet Colleen through our daughters’ dance studio. Colleen indeed was a special dance mom and welcomed this dance mom with open and loving arms. She was kind and caring. We enjoyed laughing, watching our daughters dance. Friendship was automatic. Colleen’s heart was pure love. Thank you for sharing your life as a dear friend. You will be missed.
