Colleen Marie McCartney's Obituary
Colleen Marie McCartney, of Palmyra, passed away suddenly on May 26, 2015. She was 33 years old.
Colleen was the beloved daughter of Jack McCartney, Jan McCartney Becker and Matthew Becker. Loving sister of the late Michael Jack McCartney. Survived by her grandfather Ed Bogusz, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her faithful friend Angel.
Colleen was a graduate of Palmyra High School class of 1999, where she lettered in track, was captain of the Cheerleading squad, and was in the National Honor Society. She went on to study at Rowan University and was a Dean's List student before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Rutgers University in 2004.
To know Colleen was to truly love Colleen. Her kindness of heart and generosity of spirit served her well in her nursing career.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Colleen’s visitation at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Rte. 130 N., on Monday evening 7 pm to 9 pm, and on Tuesday morning 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her uncle and Godfather, Rev. James J. McCartney, OSA, Ph.D. at 11 am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 4th and Linden Ave., Riverton. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Colleen’s name may be made to the Animal Welfare Association, 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 www.awanj.org.
