Colleen Hope McQuaide-Dunlap's Obituary
Colleen Hope McQuaide-Dunlap, 59, passed away peacefully in her favorite place—her home—on July 28, 2025, with her beloved husband, Rick, by her side.
Born on November 19, 1965, Colleen was a devoted wife to Rick Dunlap for eight wonderful years. She was a loving sister to Danny and Keith, and is predeceased by her brother Eddie. She will be deeply missed by many friends and extended family members.
Colleen’s early life was marked by frequent moves, creating memories in places like Fort Lauderdale, FL—where she always held fond memories—before eventually settling in New Jersey by way of Pittsburgh. Despite the changes, the constant in her life was the deep love she had for her family, especially the close bond she shared with her brothers.
Colleen was known for being headstrong and unapologetically outspoken. She had a strong spirit, a loyal heart, and a fierce love for those around her. Her connection to nature brought her great joy—she loved boating, riding wave runners, kayaking, biking, hiking, and camping alongside Rick. Their adventures together, often accompanied by their beloved dog Kola, were some of her happiest moments.
At home, Colleen found peace in caring for her space, taking pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment. She loved her mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee, soaking in the calm of the day.
A loyal friend and a kind soul, Colleen touched the lives of many with her warmth and honesty.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 7th, at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a Life Celebration Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Colleen’s memory may be made to the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees at https://give.awanj.org/give/652202#!/donation/checkout.
