Colum Clarke's Obituary
Colum Clarke, 85, of Delran, NJ, passed away on January 27, 2023. Devoted husband of Margaret Clarke (nee Brady) for almost 58 years. Dear father to Sean Clarke, Martin Clarke (Catherine), Ann Miller, and Colum Clarke (Gina). Loving grandfather to Margot, Liza, Ryan, Conor and Gianna. Colum was predeceased by his 14 siblings. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, in laws and cousins.
Colum was born in Portglenone, Northern Ireland on July 5, 1937 to the late Michael and Mary Ann Clarke. He moved to the United States and became a plumber for the Philadelphia Local 690 Union where he just received his 55 year pin. During his younger years, Colum played for County Tyrone in the Philadelphia GAA. On his downtime, Colum could often be found on the golf course or down the shore at the casinos. He loved all Philadelphia Sports teams, listening to Irish music and reading books. Most of all Colum will be remembered by his love and devotion to his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, February 3rd from 8:30am to 10:00am at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, his memorial mass will follow at 10:30 at St. Charles Borromeo Church and will be live streamed on the following link: https://www.viewlogies.net/givnish/iEgz3sS0z?pin=026148. Inurnment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Colum’s name may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hopsital,www.StJude.org.
