Concetta "Ann" Marques' Obituary
Concetta "Ann" Marques, a resident of Gloucester City, passed away peacefully on June 3rd. She was 96. Beloved mother of Connie Jentsch (Don), JoAnn Livesey (Mike), John (Patti), Frank (Terry), Joseph (Denise), Louis (Judy), Paul (Barb), Vincent. Loving Grandmother to Don, Jr., Anthony, Michael, Julia, Michael, Jr., Brenda, Timothy, Marissa, Francis, Robert, Lori, Jonathan, Kristen, Christopher, Samantha, Christine, Zackary, Dominic, Jacqueline, and Tyler. Cherished Great-Grandmother to Michael Jr., Kaiden, Anthony, Alexa, Avery, Larissa, Victor, Cody, Michaela, Morgan, Kailey, Matthew, Emma, Mia, Evan, Alex, Jordyan, Maddix, Jade, Shauna, Jaylen, Adeline, and Brielle . Great Great-Grandmother to Toni, Cece, Carson, and Emma Rae. And also many other relatives and friends.
Ann was born in Camden, NJ and attended Camden High School. Her parents Guiseppe Russo and Maria Lombardo emigrated from Italy. They lived on Division St. in Camden, NJ. She is predeceased by her brother Sal (Floss) Russo, and sister Josephine (Joe) Marchesani. As a young child, Ann worked as a picker in the fields in Mickleton, NJ. During her high school years, she worked in a dress factory. As a young adult, Ann worked at RCA in Camden, NJ as a record maker. Over the years, she worked at Cadbury serving food to the residents, waitressed down the shore in Wildwood, NJ at the Red Oak and various Pizza Shops on the boardwalk as well as the local Pizza shop near her home in Gloucester City. Her greatest accomplishment is raising eight children! Ann spent all of her life giving of herself to others. Ann was a loving, caring, kind person who always gave selflessly to others. She will be dearly missed!
Relatives and friends are invited to Ann’s Life Celebration on Saturday June 11th at Givnish’s of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street starting 9 AM followed by her service 11 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers or any donations for Ann can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or any charity of your choice.
