Cynthia C. Fisher's Obituary
Cynthia C. Fisher (née Daniel), of Mount Laurel and formerly of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Albin and Clara Daniel, she was 81 years old.
Cynthia was the beloved wife of the late Harry C. Fisher, Jr. She was a devoted mother to David Fisher and Stephanie Short (Fred), and a loving grandmother to Brandon, Addison, and Cole Short.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Patricia Edwards and Kenneth Daniel. Cynthia is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Cynthia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved sewing, gardening, and traveling to the shore with her grandchildren, where she cherished time spent together staying in their trailer. Her greatest happiness came from caring for her family, especially her grandchildren, for whom she was always present and deeply devoted.
A woman of strong faith, Cynthia was dedicated to her church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Maple Shade. She taught CCD for many years and later became a certified Director of Religious Education, a role she embraced with passion and pride.
Cynthia was also a strong advocate for those living with celiac disease. She founded a support group, created a newsletter, and authored a cookbook of recipes to help others navigate gluten-free living, touching many lives through her compassion and initiative.
Her kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday June 6th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 236 East Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ, from 10 am to 11 am. A Mass will begin at 11 am.
