Cynthia A. Mennel's Obituary
Cynthia Ann Mennel (nee Sampayo) of Moorestown, New Jersey, passed away on November 5, 2022 at the age of 73. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Cindy was the daughter of her late parents, Hector Manuel Sampayo, M.D and Miriam Edythe (nee Trumbore) Sampayo.
Cindy was the beloved wife of Alan Craig Mennel, married for 51 years; and the cherished mother of Pamela Anne Mennel and Kimberly Irene Mennel, both of Bryan, Texas. Cindy was predeceased by her brother, Hector Manuel Sampayo, Jr.
Cindy taught English as a second language and Spanish language for twenty years in the Bristol Borough School District in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, listening to music, movies and theater, and meeting new people. Cindy was a passionate and loyal person, and those characteristics extended to everything she did, from finishing any book she started to maintaining her close friendships for decades. She leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main St., Moorestown, NJ. Entombment of the urn will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
