I know I am 6 years late .. but I randomly think of Ms. Strobel. She was one of my favorite patients. I just remember how tough she was. She never wanted company, probably to protect her family who she always held so high. She spoke of her sons often and especially Hannah when she came along. I remember seeing pictures from a wedding from one of her son's. She could not have been prouder. Our relationship definitely went both ways. Nurses are supposed to heal patients but they often heal us. She was special to me. One of my first patients when I got to that department. I even have a Christmas or ornament I still hang on my tree, on the back it says "Love ya, Cindy" ... My condolences to your family. Love, Roxanne

The devotion and love that Cindy gave to others is so very evident in the eyes of her husband, sons, and extended family. Her strength is evidenced by the battle that she faced and won for a very long time; her sense of humor and loving heart can be found in each of her sons and I have no doubt, her 2 year old granddaughter, Hannah.
