Daniel Francis O'Connor's Obituary
Daniel Francis O’Connor a resident of Clarksboro, New Jersey passed away suddenly on January 14, 2023. He was 69. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late John Francis O’Connor and the late Marie T. O’Connor (nee Reily), Dan spent most of his life as a resident of Philadelphia. Beloved and loving husband to Diane O’Connor (nee Jastram ). Dear step-father to Eric Jastram and Tiffany (Kevin) Gaffney and loving PopPop to Ava Gaffney. Brother of Terry, Barbara Wyllie (married name). Dear uncle of Bobbie, Marie, James, John and Ray Nardone, William Brauninger and Terry Jr. and Shawn O’Connor. Dan is predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Patricia Brauninger.
Dan was the Director of Quality at Thompson Lamination Company for 15 years. Previously, he worked at Pioneer Machine and Tool. He loved to travel and was a frequent volunteer with the Rotary Club of Maple Shade. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and a parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia.
On March 7, 2017 Dan met the love his life, Diane Jastram, who he married on June 30, 2021. Dan moved from his long-time home in Philadelphia and relocated to Clarksboro, New Jersey where he and Diane planned to spend their golden years together. Dan became a cherished member of Diane’s family and he enjoyed celebrating holidays and gatherings with his new extended family. His favorite pastimes were holding hands and taking five-mile walks with Diane, sharing stories and making everyone laugh with his quick sense of humor, giving personal tours of Philadelphia (especially during the holiday season), babysitting his grand dogs and playing Legos with his grand-daughter Ava.
Relatives and friends are invited to Memorial Mass at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 1019 N. 5Th Street (5th & Girard Ave.) Saturday, January 28th at 10:00 a.m. family visitation followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. A Celebration of Dan’s life will follow at a date to be determined.
