Daune P. Maiaroto's Obituary
Daune Paula Maiaroto (nee Ramowski) of Burlington, New Jersey, passed away on August 5th, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born to the late Joseph and Genevieve (nee Chopka) Ramowski on August 24th, 1949, in Camden, NJ. Daune is the beloved sister of Joe (Dorothy) Ramowski. Growing up, Daune attended Woodrow Wilson High School as part of the graduating class of 1967. After high school, Daune met the love of her life, the late Louis Maiaroto (2012). The pair met on a blind date and immediately became inseparable. The happy couple married on May 10th, 1970, in Camden, NJ, spending a loving 42 years together. As a couple, Daune and Louis enjoyed long drives, spending time in their backyard, and watching Phillies games together. Daune and Louis shared their love by welcoming two beautiful daughters into their lives, Danielle (Tom) Sylvestro and Doreen (Matt) Maiore. As a family, they spent vacations on the beach in Ocean City, skiing in the Poconos, and spending quality time with each other. Daune loved having her family close, her happiest times were surrounded by the people she loved.
As Danielle and Doreen grew up to have families of their own, Daune was given a new title of grandma of Dominic, Isabella, Matthew, and Luke. Daune absolutely loved being a grandmother. She cheered her grandchildren on from the sidelines of sporting events and extra-curricular school activities. Daune surrounded herself with her family as often as she could, often offering to babysit her grandkids when they were younger or simply calling her daughters to see how their day was going.
When Daune was not spending time with her family, she could be found at the local stores shopping, listening to the Phillies game, or getting her hair and nails done at the salon. She worked as an administrative assistant with insurance companies and enjoyed listening to country music.
Daune will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her for her kind, caring personality, and her deep love for her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Daune's visitation on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, from 10am - 12pm in Givnish Funeral Homes, located at 398 E. Main Street, Marlton, NJ, 08053. Intermit will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
