David John Childress' Obituary
David John Childress, affectionately known as Dave to those who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully at his home in Maple Shade, surrounded by his dogs and family, on May 28, 2022. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Ralph and Anna (Ahern) Childress, he was 75 years old.
Dave was the beloved husband of Carol (Cangimila) for 45 years; loving father of Jess and Eric Childress; Cherished Pop Pop of Lindzy and Kaydence; Dear brother-in-law of Cathie and Wayne Donner; Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Dave also leaves behind his adoring dogs, Luke and Layla. He was a passionate photographer and gardener, and his family will greatly miss the abundance of tomatoes and flower pictures he shared.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, on Friday, June 3rd from 4 pm to 6 pm. Eulogies and sharing will begin at 5:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s memory may be made to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, www.vaonj.org.
