David Ogilvie Jr.'s Obituary
David Ogilvie, Jr., affectionately known as “Augie” to all who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 19, 2026. Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, to the late David Ogilvie, Sr. and Helen Katherine Ogilvie (nee Richter), Augie was 71 years old.
Augie was a beloved brother to Matthew Ogilvie (Kim) and Kim McGinnis (Darrell), and a cherished uncle to Matthew Jr., Brienna, John, and Jacob, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Augie experienced the world with a purity and innocence that touched everyone around him. He found joy in the smallest things and was known for his constant happiness and sweet disposition. Augie truly had not a mean bone in his body—he never learned hatred, only kindness. His gentle spirit and loving nature left a lasting impression on all who met him.
Augie especially loved his food—pizza, French fries, and candy were among his greatest pleasures—and he was a devoted WWE fan. Most of all, he loved his family deeply and treasured his friends at his group home, caring for them as much as they cared for him.
Augie’s life was a beautiful reminder that love, kindness, and joy need no explanation. He will be remembered for his smile, his warmth, and the pure goodness he brought into the lives of those around him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, on Tuesday evening, January 27th from 6 – 7 pm. A life celebration service will begin at 7 pm. He will be laid to rest privately with his parents.
