David Allen Pitt's Obituary
David Pitt, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 25th in his home in Cherry Hill, NJ, from congestive heart failure and Amyloidosis.
He leaves his loving wife, Kathy, his daughters, Angela of Rumson, NJ and Jennifer of Philadelphia, PA. He leaves behind Jose Santovena (Angela) and his grandson, Luca Santovena Pitt. He also leaves his brother, James Pitt of Naples, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard (Pete) and Marjorie (Cele) and stepmother Betty (Pierce).
Born in Lansing, Michigan. David attended Holy Cross, graduated from Waverly High School and Michigan State University’s School of Journalism. He wrote for the Petoskey News Review in Michigan and the Naples Daily News in Naples, FL before changing careers to retail, first for KMart and then Homegoods before retiring.
His family and friends will miss this remarkably warm and loving man. An avid Spartan fan, David loved the beach, oldies, travel, books, films, and most of all being surrounded by those who loved him.
A private memorial service will be held in late 2023 in Naples, FL
