David W. Pressler, Sr.'s Obituary
David W. Pressler, Sr., a lifelong resident of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018. Born on April 18, 1934 he was 84 years old.
Dave served as an MP in the Army from 1957-1959. In 1960 he became a police officer for the Tacony Palmyra Bridge Commission and retired as Lieutenant in 1992 after 32 years of dedicated service. Dave enjoyed his retirement traveling with his wife, spending time with his family and friends at their summer homes in Ocean City, NJ. As a fixture in the Maple Shade Community, Dave’s positive impact will forever leave a lasting legacy.
Dave was the beloved husband of Nancy D. Pressler for 58 years. He was a devoted Dad to Nancy Carr(Jim), David Pressler(Susan R.), Susan Ruch. Dave was a loving Pop-Pop to Jessica Rennie(Adam), Michael, Joey, John, and Jason Carr; Mark Muller, Jenna O’Brien(Austin), Nick Pressler; Julia and James Ruch. Dave is also survived by 3 great grandchildren Annarika and Jackson Rennie; Lucas O’Brien. David Pressler leaves behind his brother Roy Pressler and 2 nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate Dave’s life on Thursday June 28, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main St. Maple Shade, NJ 08052. David W. Pressler, Sr.’s interment will take place Friday June 29, 2018 at Colestown Cemetery Chruch Rd & Kings Hwy N, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. To share memories of Dave please visit our "Tribute Wall" tab.
