Denise Anna Schmid's Obituary
Denise Anna Schmid (Persiani) of Cherry Hill NJ passed away on November 3, 2025, surrounded by the love and gratitude of family and friends. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Anna (Falone) and John Persiani, Denise was a graduate of Rutgers University, where she majored in Philosophy. She worked as a social worker with Camden County Social Services before having children and later with the Juvenile Justice Commission when they left the nest.
Denise brought passion and spice to everything she did. She was a fiercely loving and loyal friend, wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a gracious host and masterful cook, and she had a style all her own. She is survived by Mark Schmid, the love of her life and husband of 51 years, her son Zack Schmid (Nic Fazio), daughters Krista Schmid and Erica Schmid (Marc Brasof), two granddaughters who adored her, and many, many wonderful and cherished friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street, on Wednesday November 12th from 9 am to 11 am. A service will begin at 11 am, followed by inurnment in Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, Route 70 in Cherry Hill, at approximately 12:15 pm.
