Dennis McHugh's Obituary
Dennis McHugh, 91, of Cinnaminson, NJ, formerly of Delran, NJ passed away peacefully at his home on March 21, 2024 with his wife and children by his side. Born on December 26th to Francis and Anna McHugh in Pennsauken, NJ. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Christine McHugh (nee Hubert). Dear father to Karen Collins (James), Colleen Polizzi (Ronald), Kathleen Wallace (Michael), Kelly McHugh (Matthew Mazeffa), and James McHugh (Therese). Pop pop to Erin Gill (Jon), Patrick Collins, Joseph Polizzi (Cora), Ryan Wallace (Kiki), Sean Collins (Erica), Courtney Rosenthal (Jake), Jennifer Polizzi (Kyle), Molly Collins, Hannah McHugh, and Moira McHugh. Great grandfather to Clara, Dani, TJ, Aiden, Zoey, and Christian. He was survived by his siblings Dorothy, Thomas, Mary, William, and Kathleen.
Dennis was proud to serve in the U S Naval Reserves for 6 years and was also proud to be a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Dennis had a successful career in Industrial Sales and later spent his retirement years working and enjoying golf at Ramblewood Country Club. Dennis will always be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and a trusted friend to all who knew him. He was dedicated to his catholic faith and spread his joy to others every day of his life. His Irish eyes were always smiling especially when he has his “high tide” of cabernet.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Givnish of Cinnaminson. Eulogy and Memorial Mass will take place at 10:15am on Tuesday, March 26th at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis’s name may be made to Serenity Hospice, as they were by his side and cared for him with love, dignity and respect. https://serenityhospicenj.com/
