Denyse R. Boland's Obituary
Denyse Boland, of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2017 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late James Boland. Dear mother of Michael Boland (Donna) and Geri Boland Kloss (Bruce). Denyse was predeceased by sons James and Dennis, grandson Clancy James Boland and brother Daniel Kane. Denyse is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Devin and Nicola Kloss and dear sister, Geraldine Elmore of Billerica, Massachusetts. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Denyse was active at St. Charles Borromeo in Cinnaminson, both church and school, helping correct math books with Sister Marsha in 1A for more than 25 years, as well as being a long-time volunteer at the Adoration Chapel. A Boston native, Denyse was always proud of her New England heritage and loved visiting her family there whenever she could. A trip north always included fried clams, New England clam chowder and a million laughs. A proud graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA, Denyse enjoyed coordinating the reunions for the class of 1946 for many years. Along the way, Denyse discovered a talent for ceramics, gifting her delightful creations to family and friends. Denyse was a bluegrass music groupie of sorts – she loved it when her sons’ Full Moon Express would rehearse at her house, and enjoyed attending their shows. A dog lover, Denyse had many great canine friends over the years, enjoying both their companionship and the conversations she enjoyed with neighbors while walking them.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation at 10AM, Tuesday, June 27, 2017, followed by funeral mass at 11AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Branch Pike and Pomona Rd., Cinnaminson, NJ. Interment to follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Denyse’s name may be made to the Animal Welfare Association 509 Centennial Boulevard, Voorhees, NJ 08043
