Derrick D'Alfonso's Obituary
Derrick Christian D’Alfonso, of Collingswood, formerly of Elk Township, passed away from an illness on April 8, 2016. He was 24 years old.
Derrick was a graduate of the Delsea Regional High School Class of 2010.
Derrick, beloved son of George and Kathy D’Alfonso, loving brother of DaNell, Dustin, Dallas, and Dori. Dear grandson of Dorothy and the late George D’Alfonso, and of Katherine J. and the late Albert R Cook. Cherished nephew to Jack Lombardi, Dan and Cheryl Cook, the late Ray Cook, Connie Krause, and Bobby D’Alfonso. Amazing uncle to Gina DeVecchis, Angelia DiPlacido, Nathaniel D'Alfonso, and Joshua Bowker. A loving cousin to Daniel A. Cook.
Derrick was expecting his first child, a daughter named Lyra Rose, with his fiancee Christina Clayton.
He leaves behind a large and wonderful extended family, and many loving friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Derrick’s life celebration gathering at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main St., on Thursday, April 14th, from 9 am – 12 pm. His prayer service will begin at 12 pm, followed by burial at Bethel Memorial Park, 1620 Cove Road, Pennsauken. Instead of flowers, Derrick’s family would greatly appreciate donations to help them through this process.
