Dina Marie Medici-Vaughan's Obituary
Dina M. Medici-Vaughan, age 56, passed away peacefully at Vitas surrounded by her family on July 16 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dina was born on March 19, 1970, to Linda and Francis Medici in Philadelphia, PA. For the past 25 years, Dina has called Springfield, PA home.
Dina was raised in Philadelphia, PA and Marlton, NJ. She was a 1988 graduate of Cherokee High School. She attended Nursing School at Methodist Hospital where she became a Registered Nurse. Dina continued her nursing education, receiving a BSN at Widener University. In 2012, Dina achieved her Masters Degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University.
Dina began her nursing career at Methodist Hospital in 1993, and graced many units and departments in her accomplished tenure as a nurse. In her career, Dina was recognized for excellence in the nursing profession as she was the recipient of DAISY and Nightingale awards. In her most recent role, Dina was able to combine her 35 years of nursing experience with her passion for education, serving as a Nurse Educator. No matter what unit she was working on, or who she was working alongside, she loved making a difference in the lives of her patients, their families, and her coworkers.
In her free time, she loved being with her family, including her pets—Storm, Meadow, and Champ. Some of Dina’s favorite memories are from family road trips and vacations to Disney World. She also enjoyed spending time in her yard gardening and birdwatching, sitting at the beach, listening to music, and watching Hallmark Movies. Above all, Dina loved being a mother and supporting each and every one of her children in their endeavors throughout the years. Dina had many cherished memories shared with friends and extended family as well.
Dina is predeceased by her mother, Linda Medici, her father, Francis Medici, her sister Dawn Medici, and her step-brother Stephen Nebel.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Bill, her daughter Brooklyn and her twin sons, Liam and Jake. She is also survived by her siblings Frank Medici and stepsister Gina Meza (Rob), many nieces and nephews, her stepmother, Janice, and her Godmother, Joan Henderson. Dina also leaves behind many loving family members, coworkers, and friends, especially her best friend of 50 years, Edith Giordano.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dina’s viewing on Saturday July 25 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at Givnish Funeral Home, Marlton, NJ followed by her Funeral Mass which will be held at Saint Joan of Arc in Marlton, NJ beginning at 12 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Dina requested donations in her name be to an animal shelter of choice.
