Dolores D MacArthur's Obituary
Dolores D. MacArthur (nee Schultz), of Delran, passed away on May 26, 2024, she was 84 years old. Dolores was born in Philadelphia on May 14, 1940 to the late Joseph Szulc and the late Lucy Szulc (nee Weilgoszinski). Devoted wife of the late Robert A. MacArthur. Beloved mother to the late Robert (Michelle), David (Beth Ann), Susan Sanderson (David Jr.), Jennifer (Adam Siwek), and Michael (Elizabeth). Loving Mom-Mom to Francis III (Dana), Robert, Felicia, Paige, Alexandra, David Jr., Adam Jr., Michael, Sean, Sydney, Serena, and Sage. Dearest G-mom to Francis IV, Hadley, and Nora. Cherished youngest sister to the late Lucy, the late Helen, the late Clara, and the late Eleanor Schultz, and George and Gary (Elaine) MacArthur.
“Dolly” was a 1958 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. After high school, she worked as a secretary for E.F. Houghton & Co. until she met and married the love of her life, Bob. During their 52 year marriage, Dolly worked odd part-time jobs while raising five children. Nothing was more important to her than family and friends, which included the “Love Shack” and the “Sorority Sisters.” Dolores enjoyed traveling, watching the Golden Girls, solving Word Seeks and Crossword puzzles, and listening to Barry Manilow. She will be missed dearly by many friends, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson. Located at 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ, 08077. Following the visitation there will be funeral Mass held at the Church of the Holy Name – Resurrection Parish located at 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ, 08075.
