Dolores Mele's Obituary
Dolores Mele (nee Cuva), of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022. She was 91 years old.
Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Dante “Dan” Mele for 68 years before his passing in June of 2019; Loving mother of Dante (Eileen), Dennis (Sandra), Diane Troy (Lou), and Douglas (Theressa). Dear Mom Mom of Eric (Katy), Nick (Jessica), Chris (Jessica), Greg (Ashley), Marissa, Tori (Zach), DJ (Ashley), Dante, and Bella. Great Mom Mom of Quinn, June, Max, Grayson, Adeline, Vivienne and Zen. Cherished sister of the late Johnny, Frances, Anna, Katie, Angie, and Anthony. Dolores is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her tremendously.
She gave everything to her children as kids and adults, and this continued with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. All she ever did was serve and love her family to no end. Dolores loved to cook and made Christmas cookies every year. Every holiday she cooked unbelievable food that everyone looked forward to, and she loved to please everyone.
Everyone seemed to know Dolores; she was room mom for her children’s classes, a teachers aid and taught CCD. She was very involved in Resurrection Parish, and served in the Adoration Chapel. Everyone wanted to be around her and would always ask for her. She threw the best parties and made sure everyone had everything they needed.
Her family will miss her corny jokes. She had an uncanny way of knowing how her children and grandchildren felt just by seeing their faces. It had been difficult on her recently with the loss of her husband. Although she will be greatly missed, her family knows that as soon as she saw her husband, she went to church with him, then went to breakfast and cooked him spaghetti for dinner.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Saturday, October 8th, from 8:30 am – 10:15 am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am at Resurrection Parish, Church of the Holy Name site, 260 Conrow Road, Delran. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Mausoleum by the Lake, Cinnaminson, NJ.
