Dorothy S. Adams' Obituary
Dorothy S. Adams passed away peacefully on November 1, 2020. Born in the Bronx New York to Abraham and Sophie Adler, Dorothy was 74 years old.
She was a former resident of Glen Rock, New Jersey and Toms River, New Jersey.
Dorothy was a dedicated elementary school teacher at PS 41 in Staten Island New York for over 25 years and will be remembered as an educator who cared deeply about her students and changed many lives for the better. She was also an enthusiastic Scrabble player and enjoyed gardening, mahjong, canasta, riding her bicycle and reading.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her three children, Andrew (Courtney) Kaplan, Bret (Carrianne) Kaplan and Jamie (Jim) Harris and a cherished grandmother to Jack, Taylor, Lincoln, Will, Sophie, Brooke and Chase. Her children and grandchildren fondly remember her frequent requests to blow their noses and wash their hands!
A gathering of family and friends will be held this Thursday, November 5th, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Givnish’s of Marlton 398 East Main Street. Dorothy’s funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Dorothy’s services will be live streamed at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery at Kirby’s Mill in Medford, NJ
