Dorothy May DeGeorge's Obituary
Dorothy May DeGeorge (nee Anderson) of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021. Born in San Gabriel, CA to the late William and Marie (Paesano) Anderson, she was 70 years old.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of Martin DeGeorge for 48 years; loving mother of Patricia Greco (spouse David Greco) and son Robert DeGeorge; cherished grandmother of Dominic Greco.
Dorothy began her career as a nurse serving in the Army in San Antonio, Texas where she met her husband Martin. After her service she was a devoted and hardworking surgical nurse spending many years at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She was known by all for her generosity, kindness, love and zest for life, family and friends. She never missed a birthday or holiday with a special love of Halloween and the Fourth of July. Dot loved horses and horse racing, knitting, crafting, Star Trek and Canada (her friends will know why). She had a passion for shopping and gifting and always chose the best gift for her friends and family, especially her grandson Dominic. She was an avid fan of the Beatles and 60s Rock music.
Loved by all she will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her. The family respectively requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Feeding America (feedingamerica.org) and Heifer (Heifer.org).
Services for Dorothy were held privately on October 17th. To share your fondest memories and condolences, please visit www.Givnish.com.
