Dorothy Godfrey's Obituary
Dorothy Godfrey (nee George), of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully at CareOne in Moorestown on March 8, 2015. She was 89 years old.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband John T. Godfrey in 1980, her son Robert in 2012, and her twin sister Doris Dwyer in 2008. Dorothy is the beloved mother of John R. Godfrey and his wife Marsha of Mt. Laurel, and loving Aunt Dottie to nephews Thomas Logan ( Janet) and Doug Logan (Patricia) of Ontario, Canada. She was very close to and loved by her extended NJ family and circle of friends.
A long-time Cinnaminson resident, Dorothy was an avid perennial gardener and a frequent visitor to area garden centers. She enjoyed a long employment career having worked at Midlantic, Commerce and TD Bank before officially retiring, remarkably, at the age of 82.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dorothy’s life celebration at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Rte. 130 N., on Wednesday from 7 – 9 pm and Thursday from 9 – 10 am. Her funeral Mass will follow on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Branch Pike and Pomona Rd., Cinnaminson. Interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Rte 130 N. in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to Moorestown Visiting Nurses, 300 Harper Dr., Moorestown, NJ 08057.
