Dr. Jean F. Costello's Obituary
Dr. Jean F. Costello, Ed.D. (nee DeBerardinis) passed away peacefully on December 7, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia to the late Mario and Margaret DeBerardinis. Jean was 76 years old.
Jean was a resident of Washington Township and formerly of Delran and Pennsauken.
Beloved wife of 25 years to Carl Costello.
Loving mother of Robert (Eileen) Wachter Jr., Chris (Diane) Wachter and Kenneth (Liz) Wachter. Cherished Nonna of Sarah, Kyle, Robbie, Kenny, Ryan, Brooke and Alexis. Sister of Frank (the late Kris) DeBerardinis, the late Mario DeBerardinis and the late Jennifer Downing. Jean was sister-in-law to Barbara DeBerardinis, Linda DeBerardinis, Joseph (Barbara) Costello, Pam (Charlie) DeShepper, Patricia (Emil) Cramp and the late Dolores Hansen. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jean was employed for over 30 years with the Pennsauken Board of Education as a Teacher, Principal and Assistant Superintendent.
Jean enjoyed holidays and cooking for her family (New Year’s Soup), spending time at the beach and especially being with her grandchildren attending ALL their sporting events and activities.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jean’s Life Celebration and viewing Friday 6-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-10 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Her Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Riverton. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
