Edith Cassidy's Obituary
Edith F. Cassidy (nee Leonard) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2013, at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Edith was 84 years old. She was a resident of Maple Shade, formerly of Naples, Florida and Philadelphia. Edith was employed for over 22 years with AT & T (formerly NJ Bell), retiring as chief operator.
Beloved wife of 65 years to Harry T. Cassidy. Loving mother of Harry T. Cassidy and his wife Cheryl and Anne E. Cassidy and her husband Edward Jefferson. Devoted grandmom to Kathleen (Ian Shapiro) Cassidy, Matthew (Christine Skalka) Cassidy and Brynne Cassidy. Great grandmother of Charles Avery Shapiro.
Sister of the late Herbert Leonard (Jeanne). Sister-in-law to Mary Welsh (John) and William Cassidy (Joann) and to the late Thomas Cassidy (Joan) and Eileen Cassidy. Aunt to 10 nieces and two nephews.
Family and close friends are invited to Edith?s Life Celebration on Thursday 10-11 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church 344 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
