Edith E. (Atene) (née Downey) passed away peacefully on May 8, 2013 at the age of 97. Edith was a resident of Mt. Laurel and formerly of Maple Shade. Beloved wife of the late Paul Atene and the late Thomas Moore. Loving mother of Marion (John) Walker, Vicki Atene and the late Paul (Maureen) Atene, Jr. Grandmother of Kenneth (Jennifer) Walker and Denise Rose. Great grandmother of 3 and great great grandmother of 2. Sister of the late Norman and William Downey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edith's Life Celebration and viewing Tuesday 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade 600 E. Main Street. Her Funeral Mass will follow 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 236 E. Main St. Maple Shade, NJ 08052. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
