Edward James Hewish Jr.'s Obituary
Edward J. Hewish, Jr. passed away suddenly on March 7th, 2015. Loving husband to Antonette "Toni" Hewish (nee Gatti) for 49 years. Son of Elizabeth and the late Edward J. Hewish Sr. Father to Edward J. Hewish III (Sheldis), Nicole Horner (Dennis). Grandfather to Stephanie, Edward J. IV, Matthew, Daniella and the late Devon. Brother to Bonnie Hartman (Ray), John Hewish ("Louie"), Linda Endres and Joyce Grasso (Ken). Brother in law to Rosemary Spatafore. Survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Ed served in the United States Air Force. Ed and his wife were owners and operators of Eagle Dial Refinishing Company on Jeweler's Row in Philadelphia for 38 years. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, troop 764, Burlington Township, with his grandson, Matthew Hewish. Ed was a parishioner at Jesus the Good Shepherd, Saint Joseph’s Site and very involved within his church community. Ed was deputy Grand Knight of Resurrection Council #3831, Beverly, NJ. He was also a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus of the John Tatham Assembly #648 Burlington County, NJ.
Friends and relatives are invited to Ed's Life Celebration on Thursday, March 12th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Snover Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North and again on Friday, March 13th from 8:30am to 9:30am. His Funeral Mass will take place at Jesus The Good Shepherd, Formally Saint Joseph's. 805 Warren Street, Beverly, NJ at 10:30am. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
