Edwin Thomas Wilson Sr age 89
Born June 22nd 1931 in Beverly NJ passed away on June 29th 2020 at home after battling a long illness. Ed was the son of the late Lloyd Wilson and Katherine Wilson(Hoerner). Pop now joins his wife of 54 years Joan Wilson (Unruh) and his son Michael in heaven. Pop is survived by 6 children Edwin Jr, Stephen, Nathan, Joan, Cheryl and Karen. Pop also is survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. Pop was a devoted family man and he gave everything he had every day to help his family and anyone who was in need of help. Pop was always there. Pop enjoyed all Philadelphia sports teams and he was a loyal fan his entire life. He enjoyed the Jersey Shore and he also loved to vacation in Florida which both he and Mom did for many years and trips to Atlantic City. Pop was also a Korean War Veteran he served two years on the front line in the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, he was member of the Rakkasans during the Korean War. Ed worked at Hoeganaes Corporation for 35 years and he also did Masonry work for many years. Pop always had a zest for life and he enjoyed spending time with his family and socializing with anyone who would lend an ear to hear stories of all his wisdom and years of life experience. He will be missed immensely by his family and anyone who was lucky enough to have known him. We all loved Pop and we made sure he knew it to the very end. Love You Pop! Relatives and Freinds are invited to Pop's Memorial Service at the Calvary Presbyterian Church 300 Fourth Street Riverton, NJ on Tuesday July 7th from 10:00am until 12:00 noon the Service will begin at 11:00am. A Military Ceremony will be held at the Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly NJ.
