Edy Guiseppe Mozzi's Obituary
Edy Guiseppe Mozzi was a long time resident of Cinnaminson, NJ. He was born in Schenectady, New York on May 11, 1928 and passed peacefully at 87 years young surrounded by his entire family on May 21, 2015.
Edy’s greatest passion was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Virginia "Ginny" (nee Albertson); his loving children, Dawn, Lynn (Jeff), Cheryl (Anthony) and Gregg, and cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Keleigh, Michael, Cassandra, Christina, Timothy, Mike, Courtney, and Clare. He is also survived by his sister Esther. He is predeceased by his grandson, Collin, and his siblings, Zita, Leno and Joan. He leaves many special in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Edy was a celebrated Navy serviceman, graduated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Physics, and completed post graduate studies at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. He enjoyed his 40 plus year career as Director of Government Communication Systems with RCA, and was honored for his work with NASA. His greatest achievement while working at RCA was developing a tap-free telephone that was recognized and used in the Oval Office. He continued to run the monthly reunion luncheons throughout his life.
Edy was an avid bike rider, passionate golfer, and little league coach. As a dedicated member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson, Edy ushered for many years and also taught CCD. In later years, he enjoyed worshipping with his wife at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Cinnaminson.
Edy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2618 New Albany Rd., Cinnaminson from 9 am - 11 am. His funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edy's name may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
