Egidio 'Gene' Mignogna's Obituary
Egidio ‘Gene’ Mignogna of Cherry Hill Age 86. At sunrise, on December 18th, passed into Glory surrounded by his children at home. He is now with his beloved mother and family beholding the face of God. Devoted and Loving father survived by five sons: Gene (Robin), Wayne (Sue), Thomas, Eric (Deb), Gary (Amy) and one daughter: Michele (Glen Jaeschke). Predeceased by an infant son: Michael. Loving grandfather to 15, and great-grandfather to 14.
Born in Camden, the youngest son of Ella and Egidio Mignogna: four brothers, Michael, Earl, Joseph, Carmen and six sisters, Emily Zelo, Elvera Diorio, Helen Casey, Beatrice Bruno Guzzardo, Lucy Powers, Yolanda Recupero.
Gene was a 30-year veteran Police Officer for the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) and served his country as an MP during the Korean War. He often spoke of his younger years working on the ‘Pennsylvania Reading’ Rail Road in Camden NJ.
