Eileen Blaney's Obituary
Eileen A. Blaney of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away on May 20th, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born to the late John and Agnes (nee Chapman) Blaney on January 11th, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA. Growing up, Eileen was the beloved baby sister of her four brothers, the late John “Jack” (Jane) Blaney, the late Donald Blaney, the late Joe Blaney, and Jerry (Lolly) Blaney. Eileen is remembered fondly by her family, as she had many nieces and nephews she cherished deeply, as well as her dear friends.
The family was raised in Palmyra, where Eileen attended Palmyra High School as part of the graduating class of 1962 and attended mass at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton regularly. As Eileen grew into adulthood, began to travel. Eileen enjoyed seeing the world, she traveled to various places such as Hawaii and treasured the memories of seeing Ireland for the first time. While she loved to travel, some of her fondest memories were spent with her family. Eileen enjoyed spending holidays together and summer BBQ’s where she loved to socialize with her cousins or learn about what was going on in her nieces and nephews lives. Eileen enjoyed being surrounded by her favorite people. She also enjoyed listening to the melodies of 50’s - 60’s doo-wop music and dancing with her friends to the Jitterbug, there was never a song she did not like. When she was not spending time with family or friends, she would often be found reading one of her romance novels.
Eileen will be missed deeply by those who knew her for her warm, charismatic personality, and love of her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eileen's funeral mass on Thursday, May 28th, 2026, at 11am in Sacred Heart Church of Riverton, NJ. Eileen will be laid to rest in Lakeview Memorial Park of Cinnaminson, NJ, immediately following mass.
