Eileen Mary Sullivan's Obituary
Eileen Mary Sullivan (née Flynn), of Woodbury, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026 surrounded by her family. Born in Escanaba, Michigan, but spent most of her life in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia. Eileen lived a full and loving life and was 85 years old.
Eileen was the beloved wife of 65 years to Joseph Albert Sullivan Sr., the love of her life. Together they shared a lifetime of devotion, standing side by side through all of life’s ups and downs.
She was a loving and devoted mother to Joann Kent (Paul), Joseph Sullivan (Sally), Susan Sullivan Baranowski (Jay), and Sharon Sullivan Conley (Chadwick). Eileen was a cherished grandmother to Joseph Kenney (Dom Spadaccini), Lauren Desiderio, Jason Baranowski (Rachel Mack), Blair Baranowski Cosenza (Jon), Sally Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, and Evan Conley, and a proud great-grandmother to Ava, Morgan, Ian, and Nick.
Eileen radiated love and kindness. Her family truly meant everything to her. She instilled independence and strength in her children. Eileen’s love of family was especially evident as she cared for her grandchildren for many years in support of her children. As a result Eileen had a special bond with all of her grandchildren, and they are all so grateful for all of their wonderful memories with her.
Eileen found joy in the simple things—she loved collecting teddy bears and always reminded those around her to “never lose your sense of humor.” She embraced life with laughter, love, and warmth.
