Elaine Albertelli's Obituary
Elaine Albertelli (nee Bird), passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2024. Elaine was born on May 10, 1938 to Lawrence and Emily Bird in Philadelphia, PA. Dear wife to the late Samuel Grillo and the late Guido Albertelli. Loving mother to Elaine (James) Lesher, Theresa (Jose) Valentin, Larry and the late Richard Grillo, the late Anthony Grillo and the late Maria Koczkodon (late John). Devoted grandmother to Ed and Nicole Frankiewicz, Gabriella Valentin, Sam (Nicole) Madden, John (Teadora) Koczkodon), Richard, Joseph and the late Cecelia Grillo, Daniela (Pat) O’Neil, James (Amy) Lesher, Jeffrey Lesher. Great grandmother to Parker and Palmer Madden, Sofia Koczkodon and Grace and Emma O’Neil. Elaine was predeceased by her siblings.
Elaine's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved spending time with them. Elaine loved the seashore and dreamed of living there one day. She was very fond of coffee and sweets, especially Wawa apple fritters. Elaine played bingo for years. She had a particular fondness for playing “Fascination," (bingo with lights) on the Wildwood boardwalk. Her next best thing was Bingo lottery tickets. At Christmas, Elaine loved spoiling her family with lots of gift cards, holiday peanuts and cookies, and socks for everyone. She loved getting a bottle of Jean Nate spray for a gift. Elaine loved watching old movies, game shows and reality tv.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Joan of Arc Church in Marlton on Saturday July 13, 2024 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
