Dear Uncle Jimmy & family,We were saddened to hear of the passing of your dear wife and mother. Though we had been out of touch for awhile, we have fond memmories of time spent with Aunty Libby. She was a most generous, kind, and loving woman and we'll never forget all she did to encourage us as we started our hula dancing here in the Tri-State area. I remember and cherish the first time I met Aunty Libby. It was at one of her Kamehameha Day Luaus that was held at the boat yard. From that one event there were numerous other events where I was honored and privileged to share the stage with her and other musicians. A few memorable events the Arden Fair, the monsoon graduation luau, several weddings, and her 80th birthday luau. Aunty I'm sorry I couldn't be therre to say "goodbye" but I know you would understand. To Uncle Jimmy and the ohana our deepest sympathies and aloha.

I met Aunt Libby when I was 8 yrs,when Uncle Jim brought the family back from Hawaii.Their home was like a second home to me & our family. Memories of back-yard BBQ's,week-ends at Harvey Cedars,or hanging around at our home. We saw many shows at the Hawaiian Cottagewatching her doing the most graceful hulas.She was a great friend to my mother and me. Always ready to laugh, lend an ear or just wanting to have a gathering of friends and family. We will miss her always.Love and comfort to Uncle Jim & family. Niece & cousin, Patti Creamer

Auntie Libby was my second mother, I will always remember all the good times our families had as we grew up. She was the Matriarch of all the Hawaiians here in New Jersey and the Tri-state area. So sad to hear of Libby's passing. She was a sweet woman who always had a kind word for this young lady. I always felt that she was another one of my family members - so welcoming & warm. She will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to her family, I will always carry fond memories of the times we spent. It's proof that He only takes the best!

Libby was always very welcoming whenever you would see her, greeting you with a smile, hug and kiss. She was always dressed up and put together at every Metcalf family function. She will be sadly missed. Prayers to her entire familiy during this difficult time.
