Elizabeth A. Beyer's Obituary
Elizabeth A. Beyer, 74 of Delran, NJ, passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by family after facing stage four cancer with great strength and enduring hope.
Born on December 30, 1951, in Somerville, NJ, she grew up in Peapack, NJ, treasuring the time spent at Hidden River Farm in Chester, NJ. After moving to Delran in 1964, Elizabeth graduated from Riverside High School, Class of 1970. For many years, she worked in various roles at Braddock’s Tavern in Medford, NJ. After retiring, she became a familiar and beloved presence at the Burlington County Agricultural Center during the seasonal markets and at Flying Feather Farm in Moorestown. Elizabeth enjoyed sharing her creativity at many craft shows and going treasure hunting at thrift stores.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Martino (née Winkler).
Elizabeth was a devoted mother to Ivy Updike (Todd), Robin Beyer, and Alex Beyer (Brittany). She was a loving grandmother to Brooke (Pat), Alex, William, Kole, and Ethan, and cherished great-grandmother to Maren. The oldest of five siblings, she is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Cindy Fullerton (Bill), John Martino (Kim), Toni St. John, and Mark Martino (Kim). She will be deeply missed by all, including many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Elizabeth marched to the beat of her own drum. She made her strong opinions known, was instantly friends with everyone she met, and carried a magnetic personality that drew people in. She had the rare gift of storytelling and could turn even the simplest moment into something memorable.
She loved celebrations of all kinds, especially gathering over a good meal and embraced life to the fullest. Elizabeth adored plants and animals and had a special connection to stray cats. She was also known for her famous birthday toast, one she proudly recited at every celebration.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth embodied kindness and compassion. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds. Her light burned bright, and her presence left a lasting mark on everyone she met. “To know her was to love her. To hold her close is to carry her light wherever life takes you.”
