Elizabeth "Betty" Coyle's Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” M. Coyle (nee Haug) passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at her residence in Marlton, New Jersey. Born in Audubon, New Jersey to Christian and Catherine Anna (nee Schmidt) Haug, Betty was 101 years old. Betty is predeceased by her siblings; Catherine, Christian, Bernadette and Joseph.
Betty was a 40 year resident of Marlton and raised in Audubon and formerly resided in East Camden and Pennsauken.
Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Coyle, Betty was the loving mother of Gerald (Regina) Coyle, James R. (Mildred) Coyle, Karen M. (Gary) Smith, Robert M. (Mary Jane) Coyle, and Elizabeth “Betsy” J. (Terence) Ahern.
She was the cherished grandmother of 12 and proud great-grandmother of 24. Betty is also survived by her sister, Delores Scott, sister-in-law Mary Coyle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty retired as the license coordinator for the NJ State Racing Commission. She enjoyed sipping her Manhattans and champagne, cooking and baking for her family, and celebrating her birthday. Spending time at the beach in Ocean City, and following all Philadelphia sports teams was a passion she proudly shared because of her husband. Above all else, Betty treasured time with her family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton. Betty’s Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
