Elizabeth Davis' Obituary
Elizabeth “Beth” Davis, 74, aka “Birdie” of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2023 with her three children by her side. Loving wife to the late John “Jack” T. Davis for 45 years before his passing in 2016. Dear mother to Jennifer Anderson (Brian), Courtney Davis and Matthew Davis. Beloved grandmother to Logan, Luke, Davis, Cole, Cadence and Jack. Sister to the late Chip Ledwith and the late Jamie Christie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and lots of friends.
Beth was born and raised in Queens, New York before moving to the Grove in New Jersey and eventually settling in the Medford area in 1989. She was proud of her Irish roots and loved marching in parades with the Women of Irish Heritage including one in Bundoran, Ireland! Beth loved the beach, trips to Aruba with Jack and would often be found floating in the water with a good drink in hand. She was a lover of sunsets and bright moons, often sending texts to her kids and grandkids demanding they go outside immediately to see them. Birdie loved a good carpool karaoke ride with her grandkids and making them their favorite candy. She loved going on Facebook, but if you weren’t able to friend her, it’s because she pirated Matt’s account. Sometimes she even made fun (accidental) posts for him! To those who knew her, she was always the life of the party and the last to leave. She was feisty and hilarious and her giggle that turned into an uncontrollable belly laugh will be sorely missed by all. Most of all, Birdie will be remembered by the love for her late husband, her children and grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, January 24th at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and again the following morning from 9:30 to 10:45am. Her funeral mass will follow at 11:30am at St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Medford, NJ.
