Elizabeth Dydek's Obituary
Elizabeth Dydek (nee Lee), affectionately known as “Betty”, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023. She had 92 years of a blessed and fulfilled life that she was grateful to spend most of in the lovely town of Riverton, NJ.
Betty was born on Clearfield Street in Philadelphia, PA, on November 15, 1930, to the late Joseph and Mary Lee. She shared a crowded two-bedroom home with her siblings. Dear sister to Joe Lee (Barbara). She was predeceased by Marguerite Carpenter, Helen McGee, Loretta Farlow, Robert Lee, and Mary Cloran. In her last days, Betty was looking forward to the long-awaited reunion in Heaven.
Betty was a loving wife to the late Ed Dydek. Adoring mother to Mike Dydek (Sue), Liz Daniels (Harry), Ed Dydek (Toni) and Tom Dydek. She was a proud grandmother to Mike Jr. (Megan), John (Nicolette), Halie, Victoria, Nicole, and Ava. She was also fortunate to meet her great granddaughter, Jaclyn. Betty will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the caring staff at Brookdale of Westampton.
Betty was a simple woman but found joy in raising her four children and lent a helping hand to her relatives when needed. It’s easy to say, she had a heart of gold. Betty was a devoted Catholic who walked to church daily. She would then spend her afternoons scratching lottery tickets or watching the Game Show Network, Judge Judy, or EWTN.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, September 7th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 7:00-9:00pm, and again the following day, Friday September 8th at Sacred Heart Church of Riverton from 10:00-11:00am. Her funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am. Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s name may be made to Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, NJ. In memory of Betty, do a scratch off in her honor (Bingo was her favorite)!
