Elizabeth “Betty” Foy (nee Bastian), of Cinnaminson, passed away on October 15, 2017. Born in Philadelphia to Herman and Bertha Bastian, she was 93 years old. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Foy for 64 years. Lovi Read Obituary
Aunt Betty was always warm, funny, and easy to talk with when I was fortunate enough to see her. I loved going to her house when I was a kid because she was welcoming and had little samples of Avon lipsticks!
The last time I saw Uncle Joe and Aunt Betty together, we were on my patio talking about their old days with family members. Uncle Joe pulled out a picture of Aunt Betty in her bathing suit at the Somerton Swim Club and told me how he knew she was "the one" the minute he met her. He stared at the picture with loving eyes and a smile on his face. He's going to greet her with that same countenance.
Loved Aunt Betty, she was the energetic fun aunt! She was like Ester Williams in the swimming pool when I was young; and I played with her makeup at her vanity table as a kid. She always had Avon creams that I liked. I was young, but remember those things better than the later years as we all went our separate ways. Later we had a few glasses of wine at picnics here and there and she always had a pleasant, jovial manner. She will be missed by many! Christine Foy (niece).
