Elizabeth Hansen's Obituary
Elizabeth (Liz) I. Hansen (nee Keebler), of Medford, NJ passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023 surrounded by family. She was 79. Born in Pennsauken, NJ, on January 20, 1944, to the late Edward Keebler and Anne Keebler (nee Casey). Devoted wife of Brian Hansen, Sr. Loving mother to Brian, Jr. (Colin), Mark (Christina), Matthew (Hilary), Jennifer Bradshaw (Kyle), the late Liz Anne, and the late Michael. Cherished grandmother to Joceyln, Connor, Cosette, and Elizabeth. Loving sister to Anne Koch (Joseph), Edward Keebler (Judy), and twin sister Mary Ellen Huder (the late Richard), and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Pennsauken, Liz and her husband, Brian Sr., moved to Medford in 1970. Spending time with her loved ones always brought Liz joy. She loved going to the shore in Ocean City, NJ and spending days on the beach with her husband and family. Going to the Poconos and on vacations with her husband, Brian, and twin sister, Mary Ellen, and her late husband, Rich, was always a highlight for Liz. She was a loving and devoted mother. She enjoyed spending quality time with them while traveling to their sporting events and other activities. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her four grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, reading, and playing many games with them as often as possible. Liz was an active member of her community. Throughout the years, Liz was involved with a number of book clubs, enjoyed playing Pinochle, Bridge, Rummy, and Scrabble. Liz was also active at her church, St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford. Along with going to church each week, Liz formed a prayer group in her parish who continued to meet together for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering and helping those in need through the Interfaith Hospitality charity.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing Sunday Evening, November 5th, from 5 to 7 pm. at Givnish Funeral Home In Marlton, NJ. Located at 398 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ, 08053. There will be another viewing the following morning, Monday, November 6th, from 10 to 11 am at St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Medford, NJ. Located at 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ, 08055. There will be a funeral mass starting at 11 am also at St. Mary of the Lakes Church. Following mass, the burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hainesport, NJ, 08036. Located at 101-103, County Road 541, Hainesport, NJ, 08036.
