Elizabeth R. Paternoster's Obituary
Elizabeth R. Paternoster, 59, of Medford Lakes, NJ, passed away suddenly on March 21, 2026. Born in Pasadena, CA, she was the daughter of Donald and Dolores Ridenour.
Elizabeth was wife to Bruce Paternoster for 36 years and a loving mother to Nathan and Madeline Paternoster. She was the younger sister of Eric, Alan, Lee, and Mark Ridenour, and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Evansville and went on to receive her master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. She held many positions since graduate school, most recently having found a home working at Kohl’s. Liz was a dedicated employee of over 10 years whose presence will be missed. Additionally, in December of 2025, she celebrated becoming cancer-free after a 4-year battle.
Elizabeth had a deep love for animals; she always had cats and recently welcomed in a new kitten. She found great joy in birdwatching and maintaining her backyard bird feeders. After earning her black belt in Karate, she proudly taught it for many years in Medford, NJ. A lifelong soccer fan, she especially loved cheering on the Liverpool Football Club.
