Ellen was very close to her dear niece Lindsay (SC), and she enjoyed visits with her sister Mimi and her family in England. This is Ellen and her sister at her cottage in Edgewater Park, during one of Mimi's visits.
Ellen was a member of Haddonfield Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She was very proud of her American Patriot ancestry. Even though she was unable to attend in recent years, the membership was sad to learn of her passing.

To me, Ellen had such a good heart and a strong love for Moorestown Friends School and her classmates. As Kenn said she reached out to connect to classmates recently as she had over the years as class corresponding representative. She faithfully carried out that job and kept us updated about reunions and MFS news as well as personalizing her letters with her news. I believe she cared very much about her MFS family much, and her passing was another way she brought us together. There is hole where Ellen used to be here in our class in real time, but not in our memories.
Ellen was such a sweet and thoughtful, talented soul. I’ll miss her Christmas greetings. Alice
I remember Ellen from our 9th grade classes in 1962. Ellen had a reputation as the pretty girl with a wining smile. Ellen was our high school class correspondent until the internet arrived. Ellen shared her artistic talent via her Christmas tree ornaments at the White House. Ellen reached out to many of her high school classmates in her final few month on earth. I will miss Ellen. ~~ Kenn Arning
