Ellen Frances Marchwinski's Obituary
Ellen F. Marchwinski (nee Wilk) passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12th at Care One in Moorestown, NJ. Born in Newark to Frank and Carolina Wilk, Ellen was 92 years old. Ellen was a residence of Mt. Laurel, NJ and formerly lived in Union, NJ.
Beloved wife of 38 years to the late Walter J. Marchwinski. Loving mother of Robert Marchwinski, and his wife, Regina, Thomas Marchwinski and the late Nancy Marchwinski Beck. Cherished Grandmother of Robert Charles Marchwinski and Rebecca Caroline Marchwinski Jordan. Ellen is predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Ellen was a bank teller for Pulaski Savings in Irvington, NJ and worked at one time at a concession stand for the Newark Bears, Yankees minor league baseball team. She was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed going to a Yankees game at least once a year. Ellen enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword and word puzzles, baking, and cooking her favorite Polish dishes during the holidays. Her greatest love was spending time and watching her grandchildren grow into the successful adults that they are today. Ellen was also a religious person who rarely missed a Sunday mass. For many years Ellen was a volunteer of the Sunday morning coffee committee at Holy Spirit Church.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, March 4th, from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Givnish Funeral Home of Marlton,398 East Main Street. Ellen’s Memorial service will be begin at 12:30 pm.
Private burial will take place at Hollywood Cemetery in Union, NJ
