Emelia Gallone's Obituary
Emelia Gallone (née Miceli), of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Emelia was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Domenica “Minnie” (née Perez) Miceli.
She was the devoted wife of Louis Gallone, with whom she shared 70 wonderful years of partnership. Emelia was a loving mother to Linda Callahan (Charles), Lisa Tantaros (John), and Louis Gallone; and a cherished Grandmom to Jonathan Callahan (Yukie Yamaguchi-Callahan), Timothy Callahan (Bonnie Hui Callahan), Katie Callahan (Tony Foreman), Chris Callahan (Luis Alza), Beth Callahan (Max Hedgepeth), Kim Callahan (Carl Kaufman), Jenni Hahne (Alex), Danielle Henderson (Jarrett), Lindsay Ruff (Angelo), Jonathan Tantaros, and Sean Tantaros.
She was the adoring great-grandmother—affectionately known as “Gigi”—to Ethan, Caitlin, Declan, Paxton, Delphinium, Odelette, Oscar, Vivian, Emery, and Penelope.
Emelia is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Joseph Miceli, Jr.
A faithful member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Emelia found joy in singing with the church choir.
Emelia loved traveling and was fortunate enough to experience Europe, Canada, many states and various islands. Her multiple trips to Italy were probably her favorites, but she always ended her yearly vacations with a trip to Cape May to spend some special time with her beloved husband.
She was a wonderful wife and mother who, in typical Italian fashion, expressed her love with her amazing meals, much to the delight of us all. An excellent seamstress, Emelia made beautiful garments for her family, including detailed prom gowns for her daughters. Her sense of style and fashion was present in her home and wherever she went. Beyond that, she was always there to support us in our endeavors and comfort us in our times of need. She was the one who made sure no birthday, holiday or event was forgotten and her sense of humor kept us laughing through each gathering. Her absence will be felt by those who loved her more than she could ever have imagined. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her—including her beloved cat, Margarita. We will love her as long as we live.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday evening, July 20th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. Her funeral Mass will be held the following day, Monday July 21st, at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ.
