Erich Antonio Everts-Suarez, Sr., M.D., of Cinnaminson, died at home in the arms of his wife on August 2, 2015 at the age of 89. He was known as Tonin to his Puerto Rican friends and PopPop to his three beloved grandsons. Born to Read Obituary
I was his aquatic fitness instructor 2004-08. He is the reason why I decided to go back to college and get a degree in kinesiology. He was one of my most amazing students and mentor. Such Fantastic memories growing up a few houses down from the Evers family! I used 2 throw a rock up 2 Erich's (Grubb) window real early in the morning & we would shoot a couple of games of pool in their basement before class @ Holy Cross!! Doc was a truly good man....
Dr. Everts was one of the few down to earth doctors I've met when I was working housekeeping at St Mary Medical Center. He always had a smile on his face and made you feel welcomed no matter your background.
Earth lost a truly great man. Heaven gained a truly great angel.

As a classmate of Erich ( Jefferson Medical School, Class of 1950 ) I thought my memories of him as a student might be of interest , albeit 65 years later, to his family. I do well remember him as an active , dynamic student who was obviously going to cut an impressive career in medicine, what ever the path he chose. Dr. Erich A. Everts, Sr. was the man who made learning Medical Technology fun for me. As one of his students I recall wanting to go to class because he always made it fun. He was so brilliant, and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember how he danced at parties at my uncle Tony's pool in the summer. There was always laughter when Erich was there.
