Ethel Mary Reid's Obituary
Ethel Mary Reid (née Mann), of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 19, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Walter and Helen Mann.
Ethel was the devoted wife of the late Gerald Reid, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in February of 2020. She was the beloved mother of Jacqueline Swift, cherished Mom-Mom to Brianna Swift, and dear sister to Helen Burns (Francis), and the late Walter Mann, Joseph Mann, and Kathleen Pamatmat. She was also a loving surrogate grandmother to Kelsey and Jimmy, and surrogate great-grandmother to Olivia. Ethel will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Known as the life of the party, Ethel had a zest for life and a heart that always said “yes” to adventure. Whether traveling on vacation, often donning temporary purple hair or a hot pink jacket, or simply spending sunny days at the beach or by the pool with her beloved fur babies, she lived life with joy and laughter. For her 80th birthday, she treasured a memorable trip to Aruba. Ethel also loved winding down each night by watching her favorite show, Friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
