Eugenia H. Carty's Obituary
Eugenia H. Carty (nee Holland) passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 with her family by her side. Born in Eddyville KY to Helen Holland, Gene was 91 years old. She was a resident of Moorestown since 2007 and formerly lived in Mt. Holly.
Beloved wife of the late Edward Carty. Loving mother of Ronald (Patricia) Patty, Mary (John) Eaton, Susan Carty, Calvin (Nicole) Carty, the late James W. Patty and the late Michael Patty.
Loving grandmother of Karen, James, Carla, Jaime, Ron Jr., Ashley, Matthew, Jessica, Calvin Jr., Lincoln, and Jameson.
Great grandmother of 10, and great great grandmother of 2.
Gene enjoyed playing the violin by ear as a child, and enjoyed listening to music as an adult. She learned to read braille to assist with her blindness. She loved talking to loved ones on the phone and was a very welcoming person and always gave out her southern hospitality to anyone who needed it.
A gathering of family and friends will be held this Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street.
Genie’s Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m.
Her burial at Lakeview Memorial Park will follow.
