Filomena Preto's Obituary
Filomena (nee Giustiniani)Preto of Mt Laurel, NJ went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2013 at age 87. Devoted wife of the late Frank A. Preto. Predeceased by son Joseph Preto. Cherished mother of Rosemarie Troso-Clark (Larry Clark), Vincent Preto (Barbara), Frank J. Preto (Bonita) Nicholas Preto, Michael Preto (Beth) and Mary Ann Place (Gary). Loving Grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 10 soon to be 11. Filomena was born in South Philadelphia and lived in Maple Shade most of her life, where she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and volunteered at the Philadelphia V A Hospital where she brought a smile to the hospitalized veterans. Filomena loved the mummers and all of us enjoyed watching her do the mummers strut. Relatives and friends are invited to her Life Celebration Service on Friday August 16, 2013 at Inglesby/Givnish 600 East Main St Maple Shade from 9:00-10:30 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 236 Main St Maple Shade at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 9701 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118 or Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
