Florence W. Hickey's Obituary
Florence “Bunny” Hickey (nee Wills) passed away on May 12, 2022 at her home in Cinnaminson, NJ at the age of 96. Born April 1, 1926 in Philadelphia to the late Harry Wills and Florence Breeze Wills, she was predeceased by her husband James E. Hickey. She was also predeceased by her son James M. Hickey and daughter Janet M. Jalkiewicz. Dear mother of Gina Reed of Delran, Anita Corcoran (James) of Manahawkin, and Stephen Hickey of Cinnaminson. Grandmother to April Fox, Aaron Corcoran, Matthew Jalkiewicz, James Gray, Jeannine Miller, Jaclyn Marshall, Christian Hickey, and Jonathan Hickey. Bunny is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as dear friends Maureen Wakeford, Dolores Biddle, and former sons-in-law Michael Reed and Ted Jalkiewicz.
Bunny was proud to be a 1944 graduate of St. Hubert’s High School for Girls in Philadelphia. She was an office manager for Ophthalmologist David B. Soll, MD of Philadelphia for many years and proofread and edited one of Dr. Soll’s medical journals. Bunny enjoyed completing the New York Times crossword puzzles in ink and was a faithful fan of Jeopardy and more often than not knew the correct answers.
Visitation will be held from 9:45-10:15a.m. Friday, May 20 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 103 4th Street, Riverton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10:30. Interment will take place in Lakeview Memorial Park 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
